I was driving home from the supermarket tonight with my wool mix (18 month-old Ned had shared the pleasures of gastro with both the woolen pram liner and various patrons during a family lunch at a cafe today – yup, motherhood can be glamorous) when a live concert of Jessie J came on the radio.
It began with an interview just before she went onstage where she spoke of being incredibly nervous, followed by a riveting couple of songs that kept me belted to my seat (or it could have been the prospect of putting three boys, one of which was sick, to bed).
As I sat there I found myself overwhelmed by her complete commitment to the performance and her clear belief in herself. She was bringing it, no question. It brought me to considering how I can bring it…own it in my own life.
The Woman On Purpose Membership is part of that journey.
Check out her acoustic performance – I love this song.
